Awaiting work, I've been reduced to interweb scrawling and music piracy, with intermittant booze runs (naturally). Currently on the itunes is Vampire Weekend, but I don't want to talk about them like EV-ER-Y-ONE else (oh yeah, I'm rebelling against mainstream alternative culture, how good is that).
Today I will talk about my love for Psapp, and others. Psapp are probably best known for their penning of the Grey's Anatomy theme... must say I was late to the party there, never watched Grey's, so I only just discovered the tune a few months ago (guess that learned me the lesson of good music being used on more than the token pop culture soap eg The OC, Skins etc.)
But that isn't the best bit. No, no, no - Sad Song (mp-free below). I can never find quite the attitude to take to it.
It's great; amazing; let me just put that down there, but deeper than that... I can't definately say. It's heartwarming? It's pleasant? It's depressing? Like a musical tetradecagon, I can't find a single confortable angle to sit with this song, but I can't get it out of my head.
Well have a listen... Then if you find yourself in the same position as me, go listen to some Echo... it'll ready you for the next confusing song you come across.
-Also on my playlist-
MGMT
Calvin Harris
Midnight Juggernaughts
Echo
Spoon
Imogen Heap
Feist
Cat Power (going to see her next week! *palpitates*)
